Orlando based booking outfit Norsekorea Presents will be celebrating their 3 year anniversary the weekend of January 24 and 25 with shows at Backbooth, WIll’s Pub, Lil Indies, and The Social.

Founded three years ago by Bradley Ryan and Kyle Raker, the name Norsekorea has become established in the Orlando scene as a trusted name in punk, hardcore, metal, and indie rock booking. Now run solo by Raker, Norsekorea is celebrating the end of their 3rd year by inviting some of their favorite Orlando bands, as well as some of their favorites from around the state, to join them for a weekend full of shows at the best local music venues Orlando has to offer.

The anniversary weekend kicks off Friday January 24 at Backbooth, with Nashville rock band Turbo Fruits, Me Chinese (formerly Telethon), the band in Heaven (the first band the now defunct Norsekorea Tapes label released), Mojave Wilde, ButterQueen (Orlando music scene mainstay Phil Longo’s newest project), and Fast Preacher.

norseposterSaturday January 25 brings the music to three venues: Will’s Pub, The Social, and Lil Indies. Will’s Pub and Lil Indies, located adjacent to one another on North Mills Avenue in Orlando’s noted Mills50 District, will feature a back and forth rotation of bands including The Sh-Booms, Saskatchewan, The New Lows, Del Venicci (former members of the band Carnivores, which- appropriately- was the first band Norsekorea booked a show for on January 26, 2010), Sweet Bronco, The Golden Pelicans, Wet Nurse, Yogurt Smoothness and more.

On the same night, Norsekorea is hosting an after party for those attending the Foundation PresentsAgainst Me show at The Beacham. The lineup at The Social will feature Teen Agers, The Sinking State (former members of How Dare You and As Friends Rust), Festivals (new punk band from members of XOXO and The Passenger) and South Florida punk rock vets The Shakers. Attendees at Against Me will get free entry into The Social.

RSVP for all shows via the NK FB page.
