Idiot Boys (Smart Boys Welcome)
If you have been paying any mind to the art and culture community in the greater Fort Lauderdale area, you’re sure to have taken note of it’s seemingly rapid and exponential growth. A new, budding creative collective by the name, ‘Collective America,’ has plans to further accelerate this notion and progression. Brainchild of creators Stephanie Pino and Taylor M. Cohen, Collective America is true to it’s name, with a concise and earnest mission to involve the community, businesses, and individuals in it’s quest to merge the human-race through positive creativeness. Make sure to be present at their upcoming art show, ‘Idiot Boys,’ on Thursday, May 1.

Don’t let the name fool you, smart boys welcome! ‘Idiot Boys,’ sets out to celebrate the contribution women make within arts and culture along with those who support them. Tickets will be sold for $8 at the door. Upon entry, each patron will receive a voucher for a FREE CD from the musical performer of their choice. By attending this, or any subsequent Collective America events, you are automatically a working part of the collective, for it would be nonexistent without community involvement. Eight super talented, female artists will present their work in a silent auction format, wherein 50% of revenue will be donated to the local chapter of non-profit organization, “Strong Women, Strong Girls” (
